 Double or Nothing

Released on December 8, 2017, Big Sean teams up with the hit producer Metro Boomin’ to add to his already long discography. Big Sean has never failed me when it comes to his smooth flow and message he tries to convey on all of his projects. “Double or Nothing” features a lot of raps super stars including Travis Scott, 2 Chains, 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Swae Lee.

I really enjoyed Big Sean’s last project, “I Decided” that provided a storytelling theme of Sean speaking to his younger self. “Double or Nothing” doesn’t have the same cohesiveness but is still full of bangers nonetheless. Metro Boomin’ has produced for almost everyone in the rap industry but this album was different from his typical trap style beats.

I’ve listened to this album a handful of times but there’s not one song that I skip. I think that this album only adds to Big Sean’s consistency as an artist. Some of my favorite tracks from this album are “Who’s Stopping Me”, “Savage Time”, “In Tune”, and “Even the Odds.”

This album features a variety of beats, the song “Who’s Stopping Me” has a Latin flare to it. This is my favorite song so far but every song makes me want to dance when I listen.

Have you given “Double or Nothing” a listen? Tell me your thoughts on the album!
