About me
Ellie Monaco is a singer/songwriter and orchestral violinist currently based in Orlando, Florida. She is studying music at Berklee College of Music, with a focus in violin performance, songwriting and music composition. Ellie has always had a great love for music. She started writing songs when she was 7 years old. At 8 years old, she began performing locally at open mic venues. Ellie began studying violin at the age of 9. She has played in multiple school orchestras and youth orchestras throughout her career, including the prestigious and selective Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, where she served as the Principal Second Violin in her second season. Concluding her run as Principal, Ellie was awarded the Alphonse Carlo Award for her musicianship and leadership within the orchestra. Additionally, Ellie was a member of the exclusive FSYO Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Hanrich Claassen, for the Fall 2018 semester, and performed at the Timucua Arts Foundation in Orlando, Fl. As well as pursuing her studies on violin, Ellie has also been growing her skills as a singer/songwriter and composer. Ellie has performed a number of her original songs at the Black Cat Café open mic in Orlando, Fl. Also, Ellie recently premiered “Happy Days,” a piece for solo piano, for her compositional debut at Tiedtke Concert Hall at Rollins College. In the future, Ellie hopes to have a career as an orchestral violinist, as well as a singer/songwriter, recording and releasing her original music.
